Where these numbers come from
- Rishi Turmeric Ginger (one sachet)USDA reference values
Per sachet: USDA's per-100 g brewed herb tea × 237 g, the 8 fl oz cup Rishi brews from one 3 g sachet — about 2 kcal and no sugar. The blend is ginger, turmeric, licorice root, lemongrass and orange and lemon peel; Rishi lists it as caffeine-free (https://www.rishi-tea.com/products/organic-turmeric-ginger-teabag-sachets).
Calculated from this recipe's ingredients and amounts (One sachet steeped 5–7 minutes in 4 fl oz of water at 200°F, then poured over a tall glass of ice). Your drink will vary with the exact measures, brands and brew. Not a lab analysis, and not medical advice.
Why it works
This is the iced version of Turmeric Ginger Tea — the same sachet steeped in half the water, so the glass carries everything a hot cup does. See the Turmeric Ginger Tea recipe for more about the blend.
